The Sharks have fallen just three times in 29 times out on the ice this season. They have gone more than a month without a regulation loss and have allowed two goals or less in 18 of 29 games played this season while reaching at least three themselves in 11 of the last 12. So how can Los Angeles compete here? The numbers above answer that. They could very well be overconfident and not take the Kings seriously enough, especially considering they have already beaten LA twice this season. Los Angeles is however coming on. They have won two in a row and three of their last four. They have also won three straight at the Staples Center. On the season, they are 10-6-4 at home. Erik Ersberg is playing well enough right now to slow down the San Jose offense and the Kings' offense is averaging 3.4 goals per game over their last five. Add in the fact that the Kings are looking to avenge a shutout loss the last time these teams met, and I like the odds on the home team here.
