San Jose at Dallas

The Stars have been off to a rough start on the ‘08-09 season. The Sharks meanwhile have gotten off to a blistering start thanks in large part to their record at the Shark Tank where they have not tasted defeat except for an OT loss. The Sharks have been good on the road, but not nearly as lethal as they are 5-3 in their last eight road tilts. Dallas can feel good about their effort at the Shark Tank earlier in the season where they played the Sharks tough, dropping a tight 2-1 decision. The venue changes and that margin was so slim on the road, that the home ice makes the difference in this one. I'll back the Stars as a home dog as they will be inspired in their first outing on home ice as a dog this season.
