San Jose at Columbus

It has been another trying year for the Columbus Blue Jackets, who will once again be on the sidelines when the NHL playoffs begin. Columbus is just 4-10 in their last 14 games and in the process has lit the lamp just 26 times in the 14 games. They have not topped the 3-goal mark in any of them. The problem that creates is that the defense is allowing on average more than 3 goals per contest over the last 19, so the wins are going to be few and far between. When they are playing a good team and have been posted at +170 or more the upsets are unlikely as they are 1-11 in their last 12. San Jose has become a respectable road team and has delivered a 6-1 mark as road chalk of -151 to -200 in their last seven, and have had no problems in Columbus where they are 4-0 in their last four here.
