This is the second straight road game for San Jose and the second of a back to back spot, after playing last night. The Sharks don't care for long weekend series as they are 1-8 in their last nine Sunday games. And they have flaws that can be exposed, 30th in the league in penalty killing and just average defensively (14th in goals allowed). Colorado is No. 2 in the league on the power play and off a strong win against Dallas, 3-0, finally turning things around at home. This is the second game of an eight game home stand. The Avalanche have had one full day of rest, unlike their opponent here, and are 4-0 in their last four in the third game of a 3-in-4 situation. The Avalanche also get up for good teams as they are 8-2 in their last ten home games against a team with a road winning percentage of greater than .600. Throw in the fact that the home team is 12-4 in the last 16 meetings between these clubs and the value is all with the home ice. Play Colorado.
