San Jose at Carolina

San Jose is 3,000 miles from home, playing the fourth game of a tough six-game trip. Despite winning the first three games on the trek, San Jose is just #21 in the NHL in goals scored. Carolina plays it third straight home game of a nice five-game homestand. Carolina coach Bill Peters juggled his lines Saturday night in a 5-1 win against the Capitals as a +130 dog after the Hurricanes had gotten off to a slow start to the season. The new line of Jordan Staal, Teuvo Teravainen and Sebatian Aho picked up 11 points vs. Washington. Carolina has had success against the Sharks, too, going 8-3 over the past 11 meetings, and this is a great situational spot for the home dog. Take Carolina.
