San Jose at Buffalo

San Jose has had a tough schedule to open the season. Tonight they complete a five game East Coast swing in Buffalo. The Sharks have completed the first four at 2-2, and have a good shot at making this a successful road trip vs. a Buffalo team that is off to a poor 3-6 start to the season. The Sharks have shutdown three of their four opponents on the trip, limiting them to two or fewer goals, and a combined one goal per contest. The Sabres have already been bitten by the injury bug, and have struggled to find the net in their last two games, scoring just one time in each. The bigger problem has been between the pipes where they have allowed three goals or more in 9 of their 11 games, and have topped the three-goal mark just twice all season. That makes for a bad recipe vs. what should be a motivated Sharks team to head home off a winning road trip. Play on San Jose.
