Pittsburgh at Washington

Pittsburgh was flying high, up 3-1 in this series, but has come back down to earth to lose two straight. Now they have to play a Game 7 on the road against a super-talented Washington squad. Pittsburgh has not been a great road team all season (22-17-4) because of a below-average defense, #17 in goals allowed, #20 in penalty killing. In Game 6, the Penguins finished with 18 shots on goal. The games are being played primarily in the Pittsburgh end and the Penguins are feeling the absence of defenseman Kris Letang and goaltender Matt Murray. Washington is home and has it all, third in goals scored and on the power play, tops in goals allowed, and seventh in penalty killing. Coach Barry Trotz made the key move in the series before Game 5 in moving Alex Ovechkin to the third line to try and get more production out of the third and fourth lines and it's worked, winning 4-2 and 5-2 the last two games. Andre Burakovsk moved up to the first line and has three goals in his last two games, while Ovechkin scored a big goal in Game 5. The Capitals have rallied from 3-1 series deficits twice before and won Game 7 and get the trifecta again tonight. Play Washington.
