Pittsburgh at Washington

Washington had its chance to put some pressure on Pittsburgh the last game, but the defending champs responded with a 3-1 win to even the series. Pittsburgh has so much speed and star power on offense, at third in the NHL in goals scored, tops on the power play. The Penguins are 14-6 when playing on one day of rest, plus 70-33 versus the Metropolitan Division. The Capitals are home but will be without Tom Wilson again, a first-line forward who is serving the second of his three-game suspension. Devante Smith-Pelley moved onto the first line replacing Wilson, but did not have a shot while playing with Alex Ovechkin and Evgeny Kuznetsov. The trio managed just five shots on goal in Game 4, none by Ovechkin. The Capitals team managed just three shots on goal in the third period. Washington's defense took a step back from last year's strong team, as they finished #16 in goals allowed, #15 in penalty killing and this is a great spot for the talented, confident and experienced dog.
