Pittsburgh at Washington

Washington gets home ice advantage as it battles the defending champions. The Capitals come in off three straight wins, the final two in overtime as they defeated Toronto in the opening series. Marcus Johansson scored two goals, including the game-winner at 6:31 of overtime and Braden Holtby made 37 saves as the Capitals won 2-1 on Sunday. Holtby is 42-13-6 with a 2.07 goals-against average and .925 save percentage and came up big in the last two games against the Maple Leafs, allowing just two goals with 63 saves. Washington won two of the last three meetings with Pittsburgh, but don't expect this game to be anywhere near the craziness of the last matchup when the Penguins pulled out an 8-7 win in overtime on Jan. 16.  The Capitals are 61-20 their last 81 home games and the home team has won the last eight meetings.
