Pittsburgh at Vancouver

Pittsburgh will look for payback for a 4-3 overtime loss to the Canucks in the first meeting this season. The Penguins got off to a bad start in that game when Alex Nedeljkovic allowed three goals on nine shots in the first period before Tristan Jarry replaced him and made 19 saves. Jarry is expected in net tonight with a current 2.56 goals-against average and he will be looking for redemption after getting torched for six goals against Philadelphia in a wild one on Sunday. The Penguins pulled out a 7-6 win over Philly, with Sidney Crosby counting for four points (1G, 3A). Vancouver has lost four of five although it did beat Boston 3-2 in overtime on Saturday. The Canucks scored more than two goals in regulation just once their past five games and that was when they exploded for seven against Minnesota and still lost 10-7. Pittsburgh cannot afford many losses if it wants to prevent missing the playoffs in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2006. Take the Penguins as my NHL Dog of the Month.
