There have been some upsets this year, both completed and in-the-making. But, in this series, it's not happening. The Penguins are just playing that good. They have won seven in a row, the first team to do that since the 1994 Rangers, ironically. They have allowed just 1.7 goals per game in the seven games while scoring 4.0 per contest. This is a mustwin for New York but they just don't have the skill. Teams coming off a home loss that have dropped three straight vs. their opponent have won just 32% of the time (65-137) the past five seasons. The Rangers can beat the mediocre teams but against the league's elite they falter. They are now just 4-16 during second-half play the past three seasons vs. teams at .600 or better. It's been an admiral run for New York but the run ends tonight.
