Pittsburgh is at the New York Rangers with both playing yesterday. Pittsburgh looked in sharp form against rival Philly in a 3-1 win, going up 2-0 in the first, and Marc-Andre Fleury stopping 26 shots. The best news of all was seeing a healthy captain Sidney Crosby. Pittsburgh is 33-14 in their last 47 games, and the Penguins are 51-19 in their last 70 vs. a team with a losing record. New York played a rivalry game yesterday as well, but got pushed around by the physical, defensive-minded Bruins in a a 3-1 loss. The Rangers are 1-4 in their last five against the Atlantic and looked lost yesterday going 0-for-5 on the power play and getting just 21 shots overall. The statistic that best reflects how out-of-sync the Rangers were: one blocked shot in the first period, two in the third and merely 10 overall. The Rangers also had a series of foolish penalties that they started on the first shift that left the club shorthanded seven times for 11:40. The Penguins are 4-0 in the last four meetings. And home ice has meant little with the road team 12-4 in the last 16 meetings, including the Penguins going 7-2 in the last nine meetings in New York. Play on Pittsburgh.
