Sidney Crosby heads to the Rocky Mountains to take on a Colorado team that is very tough at home. The Avs are 5-0 at home, scoring 4.6 goals per game here. But, their defense is excellent here too. They have allowed just 2.2 goals per game at the Pepsi Center this season. Pittsburgh is struggling to score of late, averaging just 2.4 goals per game. They are playing stingy defense though, allowing 2.4 per game over that span. So, what initially looks like a score-fest between two high-powered offenses, takes on a different look if we dig into the stats. We think this will be a hard-fought battle in which goals come hard. NHL games with a total posted at 6+ featuring a high-powered home teams (scoring 3+ per game), coming off a low-scoring game (4 or fewer total goals) have gone UNDER 63% of the time the past five seasons. Colorado is 6-0 UNDER the past two seasons at home after scoring 3+ goals in three straight games. We like the UNDER a lot here.
