Two teams off to excellent starts meet in this one. Philadelphia comes in at 9-5 while Washington has started 9-4 including a near-perfect 6-1 at home. Two of the Flyers' losses have come on the road, where they are scoring just 2.0 goals per game. That kind of offensive production won't be enough to keep up with the Caps who are averaging 3.9 goals per game at home this season and 4.2 per game overall over their last five games. Over the past two seasons, Philly has really struggled with teams like this as they are just 13-22 vs. teams that average 2.9+ goals per game. Meanwhile, Washington is 19-4 since last season vs. teams that average 3+ goals per game! I like the home team here.
