Philadelphia at Washington

The Washington Capitals raced out to a 7-0 start and appeared to be invincible. Since their fast start they have looked rather ordinary at best posting an 8-13 mark in their last 21 games. What stands out is the fact that they still have been great at home with a 10-4-1 mark on the season, but their margin for error after the big 7-0 start has disappeared. Washington has won just one of their last 10 home games by more than a single goal. The Flyers are now the hot team, as they have won five straight. Over their last 19 games they have only been beaten by more than 1 goal just three times. That certainly sets up a ton of value on the plus side of the puckline for the Flyers. While 2.5-1 odds may look extreme, Washington is in a 1-9 situation and Philadelphia is in a 16-3 situation, or a combined 25-4 situation, which is much closer to 6-1 odds. Take Philadelphia on the puckline.
