Ottawa at Washington

Washington has a winning record both home and away, anchored by one of the best offenses in the NHL, seventh in goals scored and second on the power play. Washington extended its season-best points streak to eight games (6-0-2) Saturday with a strong all-around performance in New Jersey. Braden Holtby needed to stop only 21 shots, and Nicklas Backstrom had two goals and an assist in a 4-0 victory. Saturday's win improved the Capitals to 5-0-1 on the road during their eight-game streak.  Washington is 7-3 against a team with a losing record, as well as 7-0-1 UNDER the total against a team with a losing record. Ottawa is in town with a weak offense, 19th in goals scored, and off a 4-1 loss at Montreal. The Senators are 2-6 in their last eight road games, 2-9 against the Eastern Conference. Ottawa will try and slow it down, and the UNDER is 19-6-2 when they face the Eastern Conference.
