Only the Boston Bruins (76) have allowed fewer goals this season than the New York Rangers at 83. This is a team that is allowing a tick over 2 goals per contest for the entire season. They have been a tough out at home where they are 13-3-2. And as good as the defense has been, it has been better of late especially on home ice where they have allowed 9 goals in their last 7 games, or 1.2 per contest. The Senators scored 5 here in their last visit early in the season in a 5-4 win, so look for New York to be focused on home ice for this one. The Rangers’ hot defense has not played to an OVER in seven straight games, while Ottawa has gone UNDER in four of their last five as a road dog. Play the UNDER.
