Ottawa at New York

The Ottawa Senators will open NHL Playoff action against the New York Rangers. This is a great draw for the Senators who finished with three losses to close the regular season. They have pretty much manhandled the Rangers in their four regular season games, winning by a combined margin of 14-8 in their four games and finished 3-1. They made two trips to New York and came back a winner each time, with a 3-0 shutout win and a 5-4 win in the other contest. They will certainly play this one with confidence as the Big Apple has brought out the best in them.  They are 21-6 here in the last 27 played. The Rangers have been classic underachievers in the quarterfinals as they are a woeful 1-7 in their last eight. Play on Ottawa.
