Ottawa at Florida

The Florida Panthers finished dead last in the standings in 2012-13 and did a bit better a year ago, getting out of the basement with 66 points. Both these teams went beyond regulation at Tampa Bay with the Panthers recording a loss, and the Ottawa Senators with a shootout win. The Senators have struggled offensively and are just 1-8 on the power play through two contests. Florida has been even worse at 1-10 through their opening two contests. The difference here is in front of the net as Roberto Luongo is riding a 10 game winning streak vs. Ottawa, who has had a lot of trouble slipping one past him. The Senators have not played inspired hockey on the road vs. a poor home team, one that is under .400 at home, where they are an ugly 4-13 in their last 17.
