Ottawa at Columbus

Columbus cannot afford many more losses if it wants to play in the postseason, and the Blue Jackets get an excellent opportunity for a win tonight against the lowly Senators. Columbus may go with Joonas Korpisalo in net as he came off the injured list on Sunday, and he has a 17-10-4 record with a 2.49 goals-against average. If Elvis Merzlikens goes tonight, he owns a 12-9-4-4 record, a 2.45 GAA, and a .922 save percentage. Five of the Blue Jackets' last eight losses have come in overtime or shootouts, including Saturday's 4-3 OT loss at Nashville. Columbus has won five of the last six meetings with Ottawa, but looks to avenge a 4-3 overtime loss in December. The Senators are 0-5 their last five games after losing at home by at least three goals, and they have managed one goal in their last two games.  Play the Blue Jackets for my NHL Game of the Month.
