Many were calling Ottawa's game one blowout win a shocker. But it wasn't to us as we were on the Senators in that game. We like them again tonight as a good sized underdog. Buffalo was stymied in that game, managing just 20 shots on goal. Daniel Briere is absent from this team in the postseason which is why the team with the league's best record is at real risk to exiting the playoffs here. In contrast, Ottawa is playing their best hockey now (they are 9-2 now in the playoffs). They are averaging 3.5 goals per game and allowing just 2.1. Against division opponents they are scoring an unreal 3.8 goals per game this season. And, what bettors seem to be forgetting agin here is that they experience very little dropoff on the road. They averaged 3.5 goals per game this season both at home and on the road. They are 28-19 now on the road this year. Buffalo's offense is dry right now (2.2 goals per game their last five). We'll again back the team that is playing better and should win.
