The Tampa Bay Lightning sit atop the Southeast Division. It is quite a surprise after this team completed the 2009-10 season under the .500 mark. The difference has been between the pipes and a commitment to the defensive end. Of late, the Lightning have allowed just 15 goals in their last eight games, or less than 2 per contest. The Rangers have been solid on the road all season, and in their last eight on the road they have allowed just 18 total goals or just over 2 a game. This one sets up to be a tight-checking, low-scoring game. The Rangers are no strangers to the UNDER as an underdog as they are 41-14-2 in their last 57 as a dog of +110 to +150. These clubs have played UNDER to a 5-2-1 mark the last eight in Tampa. I’m backing the UNDER in this one.
