The Ottawa Senators were staring down the barrel of opening this series at 0-2. After surrendering Game 1 by a 4-2 count, they were down late in Game 2 at 2-1 and scored a late goal and cashed-in the victory in overtime. That should be a huge momentum boost in their favor heading home for Game 3 tonight in Ottawa. The Rangers will be without rookie Carl Hageln for three games, as he is suspended. That should work in Ottawa's favor as well, despite their own loss of Matt Carkner. The Rangers’ quarterfinals resume isn't getting any better as they are now 2-8 in their last 10, and the Senators are showing some bite as a dog at 7-2 in their last nine. Play on Ottawa.
