New York had perhaps its finest performance of the season in a 4-1 win over Tampa Bay on Tuesday when Filip Chytil scored the tie-breaking goal and the Rangers scored three times late in the third period. Alexander Georgiev had 38 saves to lower his goals-against average to 2.56 with a .924 save percentage. Nashville had its four-game winning streak snapped in a 6-5 overtime loss to Calgary on Thursday. The Predators were victimized by Matthew Tkachuk's tying goal with 39 seconds left and then his winning goal with 1.4 seconds left in overtime. It was a good sign that the Rangers were able to bounce back from a 7-4 loss to Boston and coach David Quinn appeared to have gotten through to his team after he criticized its competitiveness. There is good value in this spot for New York, play the Rangers.
