Montreal beat the Rangers in their first meeting 4-3. Montreal has also played well at home winning 3 straight. They have also won 4 out of their last 6 games, with two tough losses to Toronto 2-3 and Ottawa in overtime 3-4. Their only three losses on the season are at the hands of Ottawa and Toronto. The Rangers snapped their three game losing streak on Thursday night at home against the Islanders. Jagr hasn't scored in the past two games. Statistically the two teams are fairly even with similar GFA and SOG. However Montreal has played a much tougher schedule and has a better record. The Rangers are 0-13 in road games against good offensive teams over the last 3 seasons. Another huge trend that caught my eye was that the Rangers are 2-24 after a division game over the last 3 seasons. Not only was there last loss a divisional game but it was their cross town rivals.
