The Habs’ overall record is mediocre on the season, but largely in part to a horrendous 1-7 start out of the gate. They certainly have played much better hockey since their 2011 debut, as they have rebounded by going 7-4 over their last 11 games, outscoring their opponents 31-23 along the way. They will be out to revenge a road loss at New York where they were beaten 5-3. The Rangers have been hot as winners of seven straight games, but has had recent trouble on the road at 2-5 as a road favorite. They could also be rusty and have now gone 1-4 in their last five off three or more days of rest. The Canadiens are playing well in a busy schedule as they are now 12-5-1 in their last 18 when playing for the third time in four days. The Rangers have also dropped four straight here, so take Montreal.
