The NY Rangers are off a loss, but are playing great hockey at #6 in the NHL in goals scored and #8 in goals allowed. New York had won eight in a row, including four on the road before the streak was halted with a 3-2 loss at Dallas on Monday. The Rangers are 5-0 against the Eastern Conference and face a Florida team that can't score at #26 in goals score and #28 on the power play. It's a tough situational spot for the home team, coming off a 2-1 loss last night to Montreal, and the Panthers are 42-87 when playing on no days rest. They are also 9-28 in the third game of a 3-in-4 situation. The Rangers have owned this series, winning seven of nine meetings while outscoring the Panthers 32-17. Henrik Lundqvist made 21 saves and turned aside all three shootout attempts in a 2-1 victory the last meeting.
