It wasn't a great offseason for the champs. After winning the Cup, Chicago sent forward Brandon Saad to Columbus as part of a blockbuster deal and alternate captain Patrick Sharp to Dallas while veterans Brad Richards and Antoine Vermette left the team via free agency. So who are these guys? With all the changes it will take time for the new pieces to mesh -- if it does at all. They face a talented New York team that had little offseason adjustments. New York finished third in the league in goals per game last season (3.02) and has a dominant netminder in Henrik Lundqvist, who is entering his 11th NHL season. New York is on a 53-23 run, including 20-6 on the road. Rick Nash leads the attack (42 goals last season), while captain Ryan McDonagh, Marc Staal and Dan Girardi headline a deep corps of defensemen. The Rangers are 7-2 against the Western Conference, so grab the dog and play the NY Rangers.
