New York at Carolina

The Carolina Hurricanes went up to face a red-hot Toronto team in their last game and came away with a huge 4-1 win. They caught Toronto off of six huge games vs. top opponents, and overall I don't think that win cures the Hurricanes' woes. This is a bad hockey team, one that has scored 2 goals or fewer 17 times on the season, and are not getting better as eight of those have come in their last nine games. The Rangers have it going on both ends of the ice as they have won four straight and outscored the four opponents by 2.5 goals per contest, and have allowed just 1.5 goals per contest in the stretch. A meager Carolina offense vs. a team focused on the defensive end is not a good spot for the home team in this one. The Rangers' 90-43 record in their last 133 vs. a losing team seals it. Take the road team Rangers.
