New York at Toronto

The Islanders had one stretch this season where they went through a six-game run with just a single loss. The before and after however, have not been pretty. The Islanders have only avoided a loss in five of their other 21 games. That includes some poor marks behind the net and on the defensive end where they have claimed victory just once. The Islanders have allowed 24 goals in their last five games, or almost five per contest - no NHL team can find the win column with such deficiencies behind the net. The Maple Leafs will be glad to have this one on home ice as this series has been completely one-sided. The home team stands at 26-6-1 in the last 33 meetings between these two teams with the Islanders just 5-17-2 the last 24 times they crossed the boarder to play in Toronto. It will be hard to buck those trends, so I'll grab the Maple Leafs here.
