New York at Ottawa

The Islanders raised fans’ hope with a nice run after a poor start, but this team is really inhibited on offense, and any sustained run is unlikely. They have gone 13 straight games without scoring more than 3 goals and average under 2 during the stretch. At the same time the defense has been great allowing just 6 goals in their last four games. They will be hard pressed to find the net often vs. a good Senators’ defense that has allowed fewer than 2 a game in their last six at home. That might put pressure on Ottawa to score five times here to push this one over - something they haven't done in their last 20 games. In fact, they have reached 4 just four times in the last 20. This one doesn't look very optimistic to be a high-scoring affair, and I will back the under here.
