New York at Montreal

The New York​ Islanders head into Montreal for what is sure to be an emotional night with new head coach Patrick Roy. The four-time Stanley Cup winner guided his team to a 3-2 overtime win vs. Dallas on Sunday, followed by Tuesday's 3-2 loss against the defending champion​ Golden Knights. Now they step down to face a Montreal squad that​'s getting outscored by 39 goals, the worst differential in the Eastern Conference. Montreal is on a 5-11 run​, including three straight losses where they've been outscored by a 19-7 count.​ The​ Habs defense is 27th in goals allowed and 20th in save percentage​, and they'll turn to Samuel Montembeault tonight, but I don't think he'll hold up well to the pressure this Islanders offense can deliver when healthy, which they are now. Islanders' backup Semyon Varlamov is expected to see his first action since Jan. 2. Play New York to win, and bet this game OVER the total.
