The New York Islanders won four of their first seven games, but have seen the going get difficult since. It may, however, look worse than it appears. They suffered through a five-game losing streak, so at an early stage of the season that magnifies the whole picture to look worse than it actually is. They have since broken even in their last four games at 2-2. Montreal has carried a current five-game winning streak with an earlier four-game winning streak to jump out at 11-4-1. It should also be noted they are 2-5 outside the two streaks, so they certainly can be had here. The Habs scored 4 or more goals in five games in a six-game stretch, but have averaged less than 2 goals per contest otherwise. The Islanders have had success vs. winning teams where they are 4-1 in their last five, while the Canadiens have been no-shows vs. teams under .400, carrying a 6-13 mark in their last 19 heading into this one. The Islanders in their fourth game in six nights, and have seen just 5 of the last 18 top the total in this situation, and Montreal now 18-6-2 to the UNDER in their last 26 when following a win. Play this one on Islanders, and the UNDER.
