New York at Minnesota

This is the second straight road game of a seven-game trip for the NY Islanders. The Islanders are 3-7 in their last 10 road games against a team with a winning home record. Minnesota is #10 in the NHL in goals allowed and has turned a corner with its new coach, interim John Torchetti, winning four straight. Since Torchetti was promoted from the AHL, the Wild have scored at least five goals in each game and outscored opponents 21-8 while winning a season-high four in a row. Even more impressive was the last game, Sunday's 6-1 rout of Chicago. Devan Dubnyk made 31 saves for the Wild, who are making a push for a Wild Card spot in the Western Conference. Minnesota has great balance, #14 in goals scored, #10 in goals allowed, so grab the motivated home team on a roll and play Minnesota.
