New York at Columbus

It's good for a team to have a short memory sometimes. The Islanders were blown off the ice their last time out at the hands of the Penguins 9-2. This can be either devastating, or a great motivator the next time out. The Islanders have been motivated by big losses. They were crushed at home this season by Buffalo 7-1, and came right back to record a win in their next game on the road as a +174 dog. They were humiliated at Boston in a 7-2 loss, but came right back in their next game as a +120 dog to record a win. Columbus is not playing their best hockey right now with one shootout win to show for their last five games and just five in their last 13. They have not been good at following a good game behind the net their next time out as they are a pathetic 8-25 after allowing two goals against in their last game. The Islanders will be motivated to repair the scars in a devastating loss, and the Blue Jackets seem to be a ripe accommodating host. I like the Islanders as a big dog to get the bone here.
