New York at Carolina

The going has been tough for the Hurricane as they opened with two straight wins, but have faltered badly since with just three of the last nine finding the win column. The problem has been lapses on the defensive end and behind the net as eight of the nine opponents have scored three or more goal.  In this league your going to come out on the short end most of the time with numbers like that. The Islanders have also strayed from the win column as they have dropped their last four games. This will be the fourth game in six nights for Carolina, a bad situation for them as they are just 1-6 in their last seven in this situation.  They are also 0-6 in their last six at home as a favorite. I'll go with the Islanders in this one.
