New York at Buffalo

The Buffalo Sabres have been an up-and-down team the entire season. They have actually played winning hockey on the road and losing hockey at home, winning just 6-of-13 on home ice. This team has played a pair of 5-1 stretches on the season, but otherwise has been 2-9. The recent stretch is nothing to be proud of as over their last eight games Buffalo has been outscored 28-20. The Islanders finally got in the win column on the road in their last game - a 3-2 decision over New Jersey, and have some renewed confidence to build on. The Sabres are riding into this one with a 1-4 mark in their last five vs. the Atlantic.
