New jersey snapped a four-game losing streak with a 3-1 home win in their last outing, and should play with some renewed energy in Washington. They will also be out to vindicate a 6-2 drubbing here earlier in the season. The Capitals have snapped out of a five-game losing streak of their own with three straight in the win column, but this is a team that has been leaky on the defensive end allowing 29 goals in their last eight games.
