The Ottawa Senators have held respectability for the season, but most of that work was done in a 7-2 stretch over nine games. The before and after doesn't paint a pretty picture as Ottawa has come out on the right side of just five of their other 21 games. The offense has been held in check by every opponent over their last 15 games as they have failed to top the three goal mark in any of them and are averaging just 1.6 a contest. The fact is that in eight of their last 13 games just two goals would have beaten them. The Devils find themselves in a winnable situation and they have laid down the gauntlet facing an opponent ripe for the taking. New jersey is 25-12 facing an opponent that is coming off a bad defensive game, allowing 5+ goals. I'll go with New Jersey in this one.
