It's hats off to the LA Kings who have accomplished something no team in any professional sport ever has. They have gone through four rounds of the playoffs, winning the first two games of each series, both on the road. The winning has been historic, but the margin for error in this series and, most of the season, has been very slim for this team. Each of their first two in this series were decided by overtime, as was the closeout game vs. Phoenix. Remember this team is an eighth seed, so they didn't accumulate a ton of wins. When they did manage to win, 23 of them have came by a single goal or right about 50%. So, half the time when they win it doesn't cover the -1.5 goals on the puckline. The Devils margins are also slim, with seven of their playoff games decided in overtime, which brings their season total to 29 played to an extra session. While the Kings may win this game, New Jersey will lay everything on the line to avoid going down 0-3. The Devils should at least keep this close. This game figures to be like the first two, decided late or in an extra session. Play New Jersey on the puckline.
