New Jersey had its three-game win streak snapped in a 6-3 loss to Washington, which scored four goals in the second period and chased Mackenzie Blackwood from the net after 40 minutes. The Devils likely will start Vitek Vanecek tonight in this back-to-back spot as they try to avenge a 5-2 loss to Detroit on Oct. 15. The Devils also had three straight UNDERS before last night's loss allowing just four goals in those games. The Red Wings have lost two of their last three although they do come off a 5-1 win over Anaheim on Sunday and they haven't allowed a power play goal this season. Detroit is dealing with several key injuries to its forwards, including Tyler Bertuzzi, who is out for at least a month. The Red Wings have won just eight of their past 11 home games dating to last season and they are 31-65 their past 96 games playing with one day of rest. The UNDER is 39-17-3 in Detroit's past 59 games after it scored at least five games its previous game. Take the Devils and the UNDER.
