New Jersey at Columbus

New Jersey lost in overtime at Minnesota on Saturday, but the Devils still have won seven of 10 and Vitek Vanecek is probable in net tonight with a 22-5-3 record and 2.32 goals-against average with two shutouts this season. Vanecek had 22 saves against the Wild and he had won his previous 10 starts. Columbus is expected to have Elvis Merzlikins in goal and he owns a 4.34 GAA and 6-14-0 record and the Blue Jackets have lost seven of his past nine appearances. The Devils haven't lost two straight in six weeks and Columbus hasn't won two in a row since Dec. 11 and it comes off a 4-2 win over Toronto. The OVER is 4-1-1 the past six meetings, including a 7-1 New Jersey victgory in the only one this season. The Blue Jackets are 52-24-4 their past 80 home games and 23-10-4 OVER overall with two days rest. Take the Devils and the OVER.
