This is a trap game. The Predators have really struggled offensively of late, getting only 1.8 goals per game over their last five while allowing 3.0 on defense. Meanwhile, St. Louis has a very strong defense at home, allowing just 2.2 goals per game here. St. Louis handed the Predators a loss last month in Nashville. So why is this nearly an even-money line? Exactly. The truth is, the Blues are getting hammered by division opponents losing those games on average 2.9 to 3.7. After three embarrassing losses in a row in which they averaged just 1 goal per game, I expect the Predators to step up here to avoid dropping a fourth straight. This team has a winning record the past two seasons in the underdog role and they have the added motivation of revenge here. The past two seasons, Nashville is 16-10 revenging a home upset loss. I like the Predators here.
