First place Nashville has been impressive at #9 in the NHL in goals scored and second in goals allowed. They have a new coach in Peter Laviolette and their 26 points are only one behind Pittsburgh and Anaheim for the most in the NHL. That's impressive for a team that failed to make the playoffs the last two years. Taylor Beck scored twice as the Nashville Predators routed the Toronto Maple Leafs 9-2 Tuesday night. Shea Weber had three assists for Nashville, which led 8-0 in the third period. The Predators are 13-5 playing on one day of rest, and 6-1 against the Eastern Conference. Ottawa got off to a good start but has folded up since, riding a 1-4 run, as well as a 4-8 run. The Senators are 25-51 vs. the Western Conference. The Predators are 6-3-1 on the road, and have won three of four visits to Ottawa, and the road team is 6-2 in the last eight meetings between these teams. The roadie does it again tonight, to play Nashville.
