Carolina seems to address their issues each season, but in the end a new hole seems to spring a leak, and they can't seem to get over the top. As a result, they are off to a dismal start at 7-13-3 on the season. Nashville appears to be a vastly improved team over last year's, and continue to draw favorable value as they have opened the season at 16-5-2 and own a winning record on the road. The Predators' defense has been air-tight all season as they have allowed more than 3 goals just twice in 23 games, and just once in their last two. The Hurricanes struggle against teams in the defensive "zone" as they are a woeful 17-44 in their last 61 games when facing a team that allowed 2 goals or fewer in their previous game. The Predators respond off a bad offensive game at 13-3 in their last 16 after scoring 2 or fewer. Take Nashville in this one.
