It's Game 7, which means both teams will be sky-high and will be bringing their A-games. The Blues and Blackhawks just played a Game 7, close all the way in a 3-2 St. Louis win. Nashville has outstanding balance, #12 in the NHL in goals scored, #10 on the power play and #14 in goals allowed. Nashville has a winning record on the road and is 11-5 after allowing two or fewer goals in their previous game. They've won two of three games in Anaheim in this series, with Anaheim holding a slight 9-8 edge in total goals here. Nashville coach Peter Laviolette is 4-1 in Game 7s, the most notable a 3-1 win over Edmonton in the 2006 Stanley Cup Final with Carolina. Nashville All-Star goalie Pekka Rinne made 26 saves the last game in a 3-1 victory with the season on the line. Monday's 3-1 loss for Anaheim can't help but conjure memories of the Duck's recent playoff failures as Anaheim also owned a 3-2 series lead over Chicago in last year's Western Conference finals before losing Game 6 on the road and Game 7 at the Honda Center. That same scenario unfolded against Los Angeles in the second round in 2014 and against Detroit in the 2013 quarterfinals. Anaheim goalie Frederik Andersen struggled against Chicago in Game 7 last year, yielding two first-period goals and stopping just 21 shots in a 5-3 defeat. Look for a close one all the way and play Nashville to win the game or lose by one goal. Back Nashville on the puckline.
