Montreal is getting hot at the right time and the Canadiens pulled off a stunning upset in Game 1 when they came back two days after winning Game 7 over Toronto and beat the Jets 5-3. Five different skaters scored for Montreal, including Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Eric Staal, who scored early goals to give the Canadiens an importnat early lead. Mark Scheifele will miss the next four games due to a suspension after a hard hit on Jake Evans, who had just scored an empty net goal.
