Montreal had a three-game winning streak snapped in a 4-1 loss to Washington, but the Canadiens were coming off a seven-game road trip of which five of them went into overtime. Carey Price made 35 saves in the losing cause and remains one of the top goalies in the league with a 20-6-4 record, 2.12 goals-against average and .928 save percentage. Winnipeg has split its last six games, inclding a 2-0 win over Carolina on Monday. Connor Hellebuyck made 28 saves and Dustin Byfuglien and Blake Wheeler scored for the Jets. Montreal has won 11 of the last 15 meetings and the Canadiens have won four in a row after losing by at least three goals. The Jets' Patrik Laine is out indefinitely with a concussion. Montreal goes back on the road again, but play them to stay inside the line.
