The Maple Leafs got a big start to their season, going into Detroit and coming away with a huge 3-2 win. That certainly will have the confidence level up, as they open their home season on the ice against Montreal. The Canadiens played a cometitive game at Buffalo but came up short, losing in a shootout 2-1. These teams split their eight games 4-4 last year. Nikolai Kulemin, the Leafs second round draft choice, payed immediate dividends, as he claimed the game winning goal to shock the Red Wings. That should bolster the Leaf's attack, and makes them appealing in the home opener here. Vesa Toskala has a great track record vs the Canadien's as he is 4-1-1 lifetime, with a 2.48 goals against average. Upbeat Leaf's live dog here.
