Montreal at Pittsburgh

The Pittsburgh Penguins needed overtime to secure their season opener. The Montreal Canadiens had the opposite result in a game they played well, but ended in disappointing fashion in an overtime loss. The margin for error for the Canadiens is razor thin, while the Penguins played poorly, yet still came away with the win, as the margin is simply much greater. The Penguins win came over the Stanley Cup Champion Washington Capitals. The Penguins' high-octane pace that carried them to a Stanley Cup in 2016-17, paid off in Washington, and will here again tonight vs. a Montreal team that is mediocre at best. Take Pittsburgh.
